CFDT Declaration CSE 29th, Sept. 2023

03/10/2023

The members of the CSE are being consulted today on the impacts of the implementation of time blocks from January 1, 2024.

During the April CSE, the CFDT regretted that the 37h30 time slot for non-executives resulted in the elimination of one day of RTT. If the employees had been consulted, they would perhaps have preferred that the hours go from 37h45 to 38h rather than losing an RTT.

Today, as indicated in article 2.1 of the July 2018 agreement on the harmonization of the statuses of non-managerial employees within Airbus SAS, the weekly schedule must be worked over 5 days, from Monday to Friday, with compulsory presence of the employee on the common reference times: 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. / 2:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. There is no mention in the agreement of a time slot from 9 a.m. to 5:33 p.m. contrary to what appears in the diagram presented today.

Tomorrow, management wants to introduce flexibility and proposes that the “reference day” schedule for non-executive fixed-rate employees goes from 9 a.m. to 5:36 p.m. (and Friday, 5:06 p.m.). It is feared that the diagram (thus, the absence of dotted lines) and the terminology will lead to a rigidification of schedules for the employees concerned and to situations of tension between employees and managers.

The CFDT does not question the introduction of flexibility in time slots but considers that the documentation, on which the members of the CSE are consulted, lacks precision. The CFDT requests that the documentation

  • reflects the existing situation, with the mention of the weekly duration of 37h45 and the common reference periods;
  • mentions for future schedules, the common time slots with time reference in order to leave no room for misinterpretation by managers.
